So in a week it’s been a year since I crashed my beloved 2010 AWD manual SX4.
I replaced my SX4 with thiis 2014 Pathfinder SL with tech package. So far all I did to it was install a Chrome hood deflector and steelies for my winters.
I driven it about 20000Kms (12500m)in the last 11 months, and I still really like it. I so wanted to hate the pathfinders when we where car shopping because of the CVT, but I love this CVT (still hate all other CVTs).
So far no problems, No CVT problems at all. Just smooth acceleration, and its a rocket ship when you floor it when passing. I shopped for a 1 year usedlow millage pathfinder to save 20000$ and I had to find one with the tech package to get the 13 speaker BOSE stereo with GPS.
Any Questions?

Would you have bought a Toyota Highlander if you had the $$$$$$? I did about 900 miles in a 2014 Pathfinder and I actually really liked it (that power!!!). My impression is that Nissan just made their own version of the Toyota Highlander. This sounds overly simplified but I’m guessing that was their target.

optional on the pathfinder, but as you can see by the snow, I think 99% of pathfinders sold in canada are AWD.
Yes mine is AWD. it even has a screen in the dash to tell you power in front and rear
you can lock it 50/50 at lower speeds

I think you are right with the Highlander target, but no I wouldn’t buy a Toyota. Value wise the Pathfinder was a steal. I looked at a barebones highlander, with the same millage, and was at least 5 grand more than my fully equipped path.
That and I’m not a Toyota fan, even if I do like the look of the latest highlander

1 year used with 20000kms is how you save 20000$ on the price of a new 2015 Pathfounder

I think I’d take the Mallfinder over a Murano anytime despite losing its ladder frame awesomeness. The Murano is damn ugly compared to this. It just hit the sweet spot for Nissan design: not outlandish as Murano yet, not fugly as Versa sedan and, not boring as the Sentra.

to tell you the truth, the PathFounder’s best part is the Interior and its space.
with the 3rd row up you still have usable trunk space. and holy 2nd row legroom batman.
We have 3 kids, so so babyseats actually fit in here.

That would pass as a luxury car in third world countries. Slap a diesel in it and Nissan’s got a seller there
